 | Great Book for Prospective Researchers Oct 27, 2009 |
| This is a fairly easy to read textbook that surveys pretty much all aspects of research. It's focused on speech-language pathologists and audiologists in its case examples, but it's a useful resource for almost anyone in health professions or education. It contains lots of references, internet resources and historical perspectives. Somethings that you don't see in many books of this sort. The many diagrams, exhibits and clinical notes are very useful and help in understanding the subject matter. The section on animal research and models is excellent as is the chapter that targets evidence-based practice and all the issues surrounding it. Overall, the book is easily read, understandable, and useful for insuring current knowledge of all the research issues for clinical practice areas. It is highly recommended for students, practitioners, and others interested in research today. | | | Write your own review about A Research Primer for Communication Sciences and Disorders
