 | The real heroine was Jennifer Jun 28, 2009 |
| A serial killer is on the loose and Hannah is his next target, but his plan requires a set up that takes a few lives along the way. As usual, Kevin O'brien delivers good suspense and a good story. He also creates characters that one can actually care about, one way or another. Hannah is on the run with her young son and her husband, a not very nice guy, has hired a detective agency to track her down. There are a lot of characters in this book, and several of them could be the killer. Luckily, Hannah encounters Ben who makes it his mission to serve and protect her. I lost count of the bodies in this story and I did forget who and how many men were stalking Hannah at one time or another for one purpose or another. What amazed me in this book was Ben's wife, Jennifer, who went way above and beyond what any reasonable wife would do in the being faithful department. She sure was able to tolerate a lot, even to the final chapter of the book. Jennifer was a saint. Okay, she may have cheated once, but in this novel, who hasn't? Anyway, the bottom line with 'WATCH THEM DIE' is that this is a very good piece of work that keeps you interested right up to the end. There are a couple problems I had with plausability that prevented me from giving this one 5 stars, but it is still a nice read and one that I would recommend without hesitation. Kevin O'brien pretty much always manages to deliver. | | | | Watch Them Die May 7, 2009 |
| This is a very good book. After reading Kevin O'Brien's first book, I immediately went online to look for others. He is a great author. Have you sitting on the edge of your seat. | | | | I Love Kevin O'Brien! Feb 2, 2009 |
| I think this was one of the best books I have read recently. I love the way Kevin O'Brien writes. I have read books recently that were very "wordy" and even hard to follow or understand. This book was great! I fell in love with all of the characters and was even questioning every player..is this who did it? Thanks, Kevin for another wonderful book. I look forward to many more in the future. | | | | First of his books I read... Dec 31, 2008 |
Loved this book, and after reading it I sought out his others. O'Brien writes consistent and engaging thrillers with lots of twists and strong characters. Im psyched his new one is finally out now, and cant wait to read it... WATCH THEM DIE has a clever plot, is tightly paced, and apparently has now been REISSUED at $4.99! An easy recommendation! You wont be disappointed... | | | | A Great Suspense Thriller Dec 5, 2008 |
I gave "Watch them Die" five stars mainly because the author kept me glued to the pages from the very first page until the very last. I didn't want to put it down. The book was a good who-done-it thriller. My only complaint with this author is that I wish he would include more red herrings to throw the reader off. It was fairly obvious who the killer would be, but that did not spoil the ending. It also didn't have that happy go lucky-everything is wonderful kind of conclusion. I thoroughly enjoyed this novel by Kevin O'Brien and look forward to reading more.
A killer is on the loose. He is stalking her, videotaping her and plotting his next masterpiece murder. Already on the run, she can not go to the police without fear of being arrested herself. With everyone a suspect, who can Hannah trust? Who will be next, and can she find out the truth before the killer makes her his leading lady in his next murder film?
Is it worth buying?
Yes! If you are looking for a very suspenseful thriller(without gore)that will hook you to the story right away and never let up, than you will enjoy this book. If you want a book that will stump the reader and leave you shocked at the ending, than you would not enjoy this book. The suspense level is what makes this book a truly enjoyable read. | | | Write your own review about Watch Them Die
