| I was a student of Dr. J's a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed his class. What I thought would be boring material turned out to be very exciting and interesting. When my husband took Dr. J's course a few terms later, this book was being offered as supplemental reading in several classes and I demanded my husband buy it because I knew that it would be filled with witty satire, enlightening prose, and provide much food for thought. Dr. Johnson is a man that really understand human nature and all of its quirks. This book is not only a reflection of his beliefs but a reflection of his wit, humor, and an insight into the great guy he is.
