Very Satisfied.  Mar 1, 2010
I was very pleased with my purchase. The ordering process was very simple. I ordered 3 books all of which had to be shipped to 3 different addresses and all were received in a timely manner. The estimated arrival time was more then accurate.

Good but not what I expected  Feb 28, 2010
I suppose this will be helpful but it was not what we exected. Most of this information, we already knew. We passed it on to someone who needed it more.

Love your list on what may be worth something and where to start  Feb 27, 2010
Hi Julie, This book was wonderful and gave me insight into the lives of the people I work with. As a professional organizer working with boomer clients and elderly widowed women, I found this book invaluable. It should be on its own list titled: worth its weight in gold. Sometimes my clients want to force me on their parent, but I tell them no. The best thing they can do is mention that they have met me and tell them how I have helped others clean out the garage or update their paper system. If they are interested, and many are, it has to be their decision. The children are often relieved that someone will help them go thru their things and arrange them in an easy to get to and easy to put away manner, as well as, take away donations. I really enjoy working with them and love hearing their stories. I will be bringing this book along with me on my next organizing adventure. Thank you for being so thorough and helping me understand what is going on with the boomer generation, sandwich generation, and great depression generation. I appreciate the time you took to write this book. Thanks! Melody Granger
The Boomer Burden: Dealing with Your Parents' Lifetime Accumulation of Stuff

Lots uf useful information  Nov 22, 2009
This book is mainly useful for someone dealing with or anticipating dealing with a parent's estate. The information about what to sell and what to give away was particularly helpful. It is also motivational for those who would like to downsize while they are living. After going through dealing with a parent's 60-year accumulation of stuff years ago, I am glad to see someone is giving expert advice to others.

Excellent tool for families with elderly parents  Oct 19, 2009
A very well-organized book that helps families start the conversation about a very difficult subject. Gives some very specific statistics, resources and suggestions, as well as acknowledging the personal and emotional side of tackling these issues with your siblings and parents. The "What Do I Do Now?" section at the end of each chapter, and the ways to "Make it a Celebration" in Chapter 8 were particularly helpful. As the daughter of an elderly parent, it got me thinking about my own resistance to dealing with these issues. As a professional organizer and former psychotherapist, I would recommend this book to my clients or to anyone with elderly parents.
