 | A little young Jun 18, 2007 |
| I bought this item for my daughter who is going into first grade. I found it a bit young for her as she is already a reader and ready for some challenging activities. I will be ordering the next step. | | | | Good review for new school year Jul 13, 2006 |
| This is a good tool to keep your child refreshed and ready for the next school year. My son likes the fact that he could quickly get through the 2 pages a day. He enjoys being able to color the stars when he completes a page. | | | | This will keep your child occupied... Aug 26, 2005 |
....but its only stuff they already learned in Kindergarten. So do not expect your child to learn a whole bunch of new stuff.
I still liked this Book for it gave my child the opportunity to show me what skills she had and what we still needed to work on < counting in 5's for example>. I liked how every week had a different color and that the weekdays are showed on the bottom of the page. I also liked the "diary "for every week. It is basically a page where you can check off the pages your child has completed how much he or she was reading everyday and writing down events that happened on every day.
The paper quality of this Activity book is very good; often activity books have thin pages that easily rip when the child tries to erase a mistake.
In all a good book to keep your childs brain on a constant level so he or she won't forget what they have learned thus far!!! | | | | good for keeping skills up Jul 28, 2005 |
| I purchased this book and the 1st to 2nd grade book for my son who will be entering the 1st grade. I thought the math portion of this book was way too easy which is the main reason why I also bought the 1st/2nd grade book. The other parts are good for reinforcement, but do not present any challenges. I use it to give my son a sense of mastery. The math in the 1st/2nd grade book is just right and provides a healthy challenge in the other areas. | | | | A review of kindergarden Jun 27, 2005 |
| I should have listened to the previous reviewer. This book is too easy. I bought this book so my daughter could get a jump start on first grade. This is more like a review of kindergarden. I think some kindergardeners might benefit from this book but it will be the ones who missed basic concepts. A lot of this book is reviewing the sounds letters make. By the time my daughter finished kindergarden she could read as could most of her classmates. The vocabulary words are all basic site words you should know in order to graduate from kindergarden. The bottom line is if you are going to buy this book it means you are a caring parent who is concerned about your childs education. If you are that kind of parent you will have undoubtedly worked with your child in the past and your child will be way beyond this material. I am passing my copy onto a preschool child and am going to continue to look for something that will be challenging and teach my daughter something new. | | | Write your own review about Daily Summer Activities Moving from Kindergarten to 1st Grade
