Product Description With every spoonful of sugar one chokes down, one can't help but wonder how septic this world truly runs with the darkness inherent in every granule.Combining an eclectic mix of flash fiction and short stories, Arsenic Pills offers a twisted new shot of poison on every page. From a small town in Depression-Era America to the backwoods of Louisiana, Raven McAllister delves into the blackness of men's souls with more than thirty short stories. In south Texas, an old rancher finally discovers what's been killing his cattle for fifteen years, while madness itself stands guard over the ruins of an old church in Louisiana. A British shop owner falls in line with a demigod's black designs, and a trucker takes up the cross-country haul from hell.McAllister skillfully blends horror, gore, science fiction, and realism in this masterful collection, revealing the intense, inner realm of the human psyche. Prepare to dive into the dark side of our world.

| sub-par at best. author tries to use big words that are seemingly unnecessary. plot difficult to follow, not really worth your time. | | | | Perfect Christmas gift for your horror fans!!! Nov 10, 2008 |
| A friend of mine let me borrow this book and I was so impressed with it that I had to buy it. It is full of very brief horror stories with 2 or three longer ones in it. Some of the stories get really edgy. A couple get down right bizarre but all kept me interested. The stories are a mix of old school style storytelling with a modern sensibility. A great book for lonely ,stormy nights. | | | Write your own review about Arsenic Pills: Stories
