| It is hard to find a science book like this for lower elementary. I did not really want a "textbook" for my 2nd grade homeschooled daughter, but I wanted something more than another science experiment book where I had to do all the explaining. This is very straight forward, requires her to read the information for herself, and includes some kind of experiment with a written exercise. | I love the way this book combines SIMPLE experiments with great information! One of the best science books I've found for the younger elementary grades. Covers many areas with simple to understand language and end-of-section content reviews. Also, the way the book is arranged, it's easy to skip around to different sections depending on what you may be doing in other areas of homeschool at the time.
