Why do people read this crap?  Apr 4, 2009
This book is SOOOO bad! It sounded interesting at first, I mean, who calls a books "gossip girl"? It sounded fresh and original, something needed in the young adult genre, with all the flop flooding it right now. (I had twilight in mind). I started reading it and was amazed by how people could stand reading this. The characters are 1-dimenional, cardboard cut-outs. I read half of this trash and put it down, it was that bad. Avery, Owen, Jack, and Baby are all people that I couldn't bring myself to care about. They did some atrocious things, and apparently all they do is do drugs and party. Nice message for teens, whoever wrote this book. Her name is just so long I won't bother repeating it. Horrible books, characters, and now I know, author. I will never read anything by her again.

*disgusted reviewer*.

Super great book!  Jan 13, 2009
Even though this is a spin off, it is just as good if not BETTER than Gossip Girl! I absolutely love the triplets, and if you read Gossip Girl or the It Girl you will definitely love this series. =) I can't wait for more!

Disappointed...  Dec 20, 2008
it was alright. i loved the original gossip girl and the new series is not that great. it feels more of the same of the original but worse. usually i finish the books in one day and wanting more but with this book it took a while to finish and skimmed over some things. the book is good but not as good as what i anticipated

The Carlyle triplets are back in the spotlight and shaking up Manhattan.

Baby's decided that Manhattan looks good right now, and that includes J.P. With that decision made, she has to worm her way back into the heart of Constance Billard. All she has to do is revive the school's art magazine. Will her bohemian ways match the artsy direction of the magazine and push her further away from the elite crowd?

Avery's busy with board meetings with ladies at least fifty years older than she is. The almost daily meetings consists of gossip and very little else. It's hard to imagine that Avery's almost friendless, but will the last remains for her reputation be shot now that the word is out that she's never had a boyfriend?

Owen's having his own love troubles. He's still hung up on Kelsey, but since Rhys adores her, he's trying to stay away from her. But sooner or later, they're going to have to confront their emotions.

The scandalous secrets flow from the new socialites and they'll do almost anything to stay on top. How far is too far?

This is one series that will grab your attention and not let go.

YOU JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH (GOSSIP GIRL THE CARLYLES)

It doesn't seem like the Carlyle triplets Avery, Owen and Baby have only been in Manhattan for only a week. They haven't even begun to make their mark despite the party that managed to get the cops called and Avery taken to the police station. But not everything is smooth sailing for the triplets, Baby's trying to get back in the good books at Constance Billard, Avery's already got one frenemy in Jack, and Owen's trying to get over Kelsey, who just happens to be the ex-girlfriend of one of his good friends from the swim team. What will happen if Rhys finds out that Owen's the real reason Kelsey broke up with him?

The Carlyles are a great addition to the Gossip Girl series. I have to say I'm partial to Owen and Baby. Jack's the perfect bad girl, out to oust Avery from her inner circle of friends but with Avery knowing the truth about her financial situation, Jack is practically being blackmailed till the truth comes out and then Jack is hopeful it'll send Avery out of Constance Billard, out of Manhattan and straight out of New York. I loved Owen having to struggle with the fact he's interested in Kelsey, but knowing Rhys is still into her as well. The swim team scenes with Owen and Rhys are actually some of my favorite in the book.

Fans of the Gossip Girl series won't go wrong picking this one up.

Look for the Gossip Girl: The Carlyles #3 `Take a Chance on Me' out in May 2009. Read the first chapter of YOU JUST CAN'T GET ENOUGH here: http://www.pickapoppy.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/GGC2Chap1.pdf
